This statue was inspired by statues of a middle kingdom Pharaoh. On the top of his head is a nemes ( a headcloth) completely covering a wig. The headcloth is decorated with a uraeus (a cobra rearing to stike). The Pharaoh's garment is a festival robe and skirt. A starched panel with a lion's head decorated on his waist and a bejewelled collar over his chest. The dagger symbolizes his courage and royalty
